Due
Date-Thursday, November 20th- "Thankful Thirty." I'd like you to
make a list of thirty things you are thankful for ranging from the sublime to
the ridiculous. I thought about making this in a questionnaire format but since
you are all so creative, I decided I'd just turn you loose on this assignment.
I will put together a questionnaire if you'd prefer so just email me if you'd
like one. The idea is: I'm thankful for lip gloss...to...I'm thankful for the
love of my children. Get the idea? Come up with thirty things. I
am thankful for... *
the Cheesecake Factory for all it's yummy salads * Nordstroms because it makes
shopping more fun * Survivor for making TV fun and giving me something to blog
about * All My Children which I've been watching since I was in college and
Erica was in high school * my kitchen hot water dispenser * tea- hot and
iced- for keeping me from eating too much * George Clooney and the way he gazes
up with his head tilted down * Jeff's salsa and Margaritas in my cactus glasses
* Nick and Nora PJ's after a long day at work * my prelit Christmas tree
so I don't become a Scrooge trimming the tree * having a job that gives me
my summers off * Highway One through Big Sur on a sunny day * picnics of
bread, cheese and wine * the view out my computer room window * the beautiful
hiking trails right out my front door * all my new bird feeders which have
brought a renewed interest in the pleasures to be found in my own backyard *
the Mills Family HomePage, Darylynn.com-ments and Homework for all the wonderful
friends they have given me * our new carpeting, tile, front doors, oak stairway...
and that it is done! * my collections of Department 56, David Winter, Longaberger
Baskets and that Jeff indulges my interests *
being a baby-boomer and a teenager during the 60's * being a UCLA alumni and
a student during the turbulent Viet Nam War era * being a native Southern Californian *
a mother-in-law who is truly a mother-in-love * our brother and sister kitties,
Hunter and Hayley, for helping to make our house a home * our beloved golden
retriever, Dylan, for defying the odds and staying in remission for over 2 years *
Kali, our little golden girl, for keeping Dylan young and bringing joy into our
lives * my mother living with me until the day she died * my children, Justin
and Jessica, who are the center of my universe * my husband, Jeff, for giving
me all the things in my life that matter the most * the health of all my loved
ones which is the most important thing of all
