Due Date- Saturday, February 14- Valentine's Day- "Spin the Bottle"- First Kiss. Tell us about your first kiss. Not when little Billy in 2nd grade planted one on you but your first real kiss. Details, girls, we want details!

Thanks, Olli!

One of the nice things about being the teacher, is you can tailor the assignments to fit your needs. Turns out, little Billy did plant one on me in 2nd grade. I debated between two kisses to tell you about. When I was in 7th grade, I liked this boy named Chip. He was a bit of a "bad boy" and this was probably the only time in my life I was ever attracted to someone like him. I knew he was "experienced" but he treated me like the "goody-two-shoes" I was. I really wanted him to kiss me and my girlfriend Jackie let him know that. Isn't that what girlfriends are for? He finally got up the nerve to kiss me and I closed my eyes, waiting for that romantic kiss I dreamed of. Well, you guessed it! I felt his tongue and popped my eyes open and pulled away in disgust! Poor guy! Still, we went "steady" for the rest of that school year and into the summer when he went away on vacation. It was then that I met Dave! I met him at a movie theater. He and his friend followed Jackie and I down the aisle and asked if they could sit with us. He was the cutest thing I had EVER seen! Tan, beautiful blonde hair and the bluest eyes! He sat next to me and my heart was pounding just having him that close to me. I nervously kept stuffing popcorn in my mouth. In the middle of the movie, he put his arm around my seat and tried to pull me close to him. Now remember I told you I was a goody-two-shoes... so I dumped my popcorn into his lap and got up and ran up the aisle. Two weeks later, I was at the beach and I saw him again. He was carrying his surfboard and looked so cute in his surfing shorts. He was an accomplished surfer and was even in Surfer magazine. He had the most muscular body with six-pack abs before I'd ever heard of that term. He saw me and said, "I remember you from the movie!" Well, that was the beginning of a very long relationship that lasted on and off through high school. I was his date at his Senior Prom. So about the kiss! We pretty much spent that whole summer kissing on the beach. I'd sit on the shore watching him surf in the morning and then he'd come and sit with me on the beach, wrap his arms around me and give me warm salty kisses. It was sweet and romantic and one of the fondest memories that I have. Somewhere I have a color photo of him with his shirt off cleaning his swimming pool. I just couldn't find it but I did find this school photo of him. It isn't the best but it does show his beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair. Remember, he was only 14 in this photo. I'd definitely say he was my first love!

Thanks, Susie!
